Hettler Largent Engineering, LLC
Hettler Largent Engineering, LLC (HLE) was established in 1990 as Hettler Engineering Services with its office located in North Canton, Ohio. HLE is experienced in the design, resident engineering, inspection, construction, and cost estimating of residential, educational, commercial, and industrial projects. Our company has been responsible for the design of numerous projects throughout Stark County and northeast Ohio, and we continue to search for new opportunities beyond our county lines.
Through professional support, HLE provides expertise throughout all phases of a project including preliminary planning, field investigations, design, resident engineering, project management, scheduling, and construction cost estimating.
Planning
We are constantly working with clients and other consultants to develop preliminary planning for projects. This can include developing various development options, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and governing agencies to determine the best path forward for the client. Design

Permitting & Approval
The staff of HLE consistently works with governing agencies such as Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Ohio EPA, County Engineer’s, County Regional Planning, Municipal Engineering departments as well as planning and zoning commissions/boards.
Scheduling & Cost Estimating
Helping the Client or Owner understand the projected construction costs for an improvement project as well as the amount of time needed for design, permitting and construction is critical to success. HLE utilizes local qualified contractors and past project data to help our clients estimate costs and schedules.
Our Resources
In today’s world of high-tech solutions, especially in the engineering field, it's important to keep up with the latest hardware and software. HLE replaces and upgrades all computer hardware every 24 months. Keeping the engineering software versions as current as possible is required to ensure that our designs and documents are completed accurately and efficiently.
HLE utilizes AutoCAD Civil 3D 2021 software. In addition, HLE uses the HydroCAD Stormwater Modeling software, which includes TR-20, TR-55 and the Modified Rational Method for the design and analysis of necessary Storm Water Management Facilities.
Bluebeam Revu is used to store, manage, create, open, view and edit various types of project documents. Revu uses intuitive measurement tools and keeps drawings, submittals and other items clear and organized.
Microsoft Project Scheduling software is used to develop engineering and construction schedules, as HLE values the importance of efficient project management.
